We are passionate about bringing Sophrology to the UK, here's a little background on each of us and the story so far...
Based in London, The Sophrology Network has been founded by five women whose lives have all been enriched by the experience of Sophrology. It had helped them so much that they have decided to become Sophrologist themselves. They trained in France or Switzerland and then in Andorra with the founder of the method, Professor A. Caycedo and his daughter Dr Natalia Caycedo.
Getting together in London, they feel a drive to spread the method in the UK, creating The Sophrology Network. Please find below, their individual biographies.

Brigitte Rinner - Master in Caycedian Sophrology
I discovered Sophrology thanks to an article in the French Lycée’s newsletter. A sentence caught my attention: “You cannot always change the events in your life but you can change the way you deal with them.”As a mother of 3 young children at the time, I was finding the beginning of the school year particularly challenging. I contacted the then-only sophrologist in London, who taught me exercises to cope better with stress and difficulties. Practising sophrology actually gave me even more – it made me aware that my life would be more balanced if I went back to work. Since going back to the business world - my former milieu - was not something I really contemplated, I decided to train as a sophrologist at the Académie de Sophrologie de Paris and then in Andorra with Professor Caycédo himself. I’ve been teaching sophrology since 2004 to children, young people and adults, in groups or as individuals, enjoying it every single day ;-)

Catherine-Fatou Lefeuvre - Master in Caycedian Sophrology and Yoga Instructor
There are several reasons why I have chosen Sophrology to be part of my life.
The word Sophrology came to my attention while I was practising meditation. I decided to follow my inner voice and find out about it. Thanks to Brigitte Rinner, one of the few sophrologists in London at the time, I was introduced to the practice. The results were instantaneous: I felt my body let go, my mind relax and my energy level increase. Practising yoga at the same time and being aware of deep breathing combined the two disciplines beautifully.Sophrology came to me as I really wanted to change my life style. Being an active mother of three children and a busy Early Years Educator, I felt the need to tune in to a place of harmony, calm, inner well-being and share it with others. I became a yoga teacher and decided to take the Sophrology course.
I studied at the Sophrology Academy of Paris from 2009 and qualified in November 2010. I completed my Master in Andorra in November 2012.

Dominique Antiglio - Master in Caycedian Sophrology/BSc.(Hons)Ost.
It was a gift to be introduced to Sophrology at a very young age and to be immersed in it ever since. It has given me precious tools for my own development path, helping me to travel inward as well as outward in an exciting and meaningful way.
Having trained as an osteopath in the UK(2001), I then had my own Osteopathy and Sophrology practice in Switzerland for ten years and led Sophrology workshops at the Académie Suisse de Sophrologie (Swiss Sophrology Academy). Consequently, I have regularly witnessed great changes in people’s bodies, minds and lives following Sophrology sessions. Now based in London, I work exclusively as a Sophrology Therapist and Coach tailoring the method to suit individual or group needs.I believe that the beauty and power of Sophrology lies in its simplicity, combined with the level of depth at which one wishes to practice it. It succeeds in making the art of transformation accessible to everyone, irrespective of their age, health, or personality, whether active or more contemplative, through a gradual and safe process.
I specialize in stress-management, self-development and birth preparation.
My specific training in Sophrology includes a diploma in Caycedian Sophrology (2004) at the Académie Suisse de Sophrologie and a master in Caycedian Sophrology (2006) with Professor Caycedo himself. I also benefited from the teachings of other great Sophrologists in Switzerland. The Sophrology I teach is therefore deeply rooted in the Caycedian approach (the Sophrology’s founder approach) as well as being continuously informed by my other studies, particularly on sound and all aimed at enriching the journey of healing and self-discovery.

Florence Pasteur - Master in Caycedian Sophrology and Registered Osteopath
I was first introduced to Sophrology and Osteopathy 15 years ago while playing competitive sport. Both these approaches taught me the fundamental importance of achieving the particular symbiosis between the well-being of the body, and life balance with regard to success. Both embrace a vision of Health in which the body functions as the interface between the outside environment (with all its external stresses) and the inner world (all physiological functions, emotions included).
The Sophrology technique has helped me to synchronize body and mind in one harmonious unit, achieving the best and most positive version of myself. I am passionate about this holistic awareness and the way we learn to adjust to life’s events on a daily basis. I feel very privileged to be able to share this with my patients of all ages, including young children!
I enjoy working with all patients, irrespective of their needs: from those just wanting to achieve calm to those with more specific needs like coping with childbirth, exams, career change.
"Giving tools to people to make themselves better is an endless source of feel-good factor!!"

Annik Glasgow - Master in Caycedian Sophrology
Some French friends first told me about Sophrology: how it helped them to cope with various challenges at different stages in their lives, from childbirth, parenting, preparing for exams and interviews etc... It seemed to me to deal with one of the central, and possibly most damaging, complications of our modern life – stress.
After spending the past twenty-five years working in marketing and communication and being mother to two sons, I decided to reconsider my approach to life.
I realised that I needed a structured support for such changes, and I therefore decided to try Sophrology; first as a patient, and latterly as a teacher, training as a sophrologist at the Academie de Sophrologie Caycedienne in Paris. I qualified in February 2010 and completed my Master in Andorra in November 2012.
What I value most in Sophrology are the techniques consisting of several sets of safe, easy-to-do physical and mental exercises to reduce stress and anxiety, reinforce positive action, bring balance and energy to the mind and body and promote well-being.CONTACT: email Annik • call her on 020 8743 0648 or 07919 658 178 • West London (Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith, Chiswick)
